One year old!!!!

Hello!! It has been a long time-we have been busy busy with our growing boy!! 

Raylan had a wonderful 1st birthday party with lots of family and friends. Here are some pictures of our big one year old. 

 

Raylan is such a happy, and sweet boy. He is still very laid back and likes his alone time in his crib. His new favorite is the show 'Mickey Mouse Club House' and he LOVES the hot dog song. He dances every time he heard it and even says 'hot dog' (in his own language). 

Raylan went to meet Santa for the first time in November at the Mall of America. No tears!!

9 Months Old

Today Raylan is 9 months old!  He is so much fun!  We love spending every second with him and cannot get enough of this little guy!!

Our 9 month old can/likes to:

• roll all around on the floor
• sit up
• 'army' crawl
• play with his toys
• 'walk' in his car 
• flex his muscles! (he even does it when you ask him to)
• eat some table foods! No more baby food for Raylan! He LOVES animal crackers :) 
• He uses his fingers to grab his food instead of shoveling it in - great fine-motor skills!
• go for walks
• wrinkle his nose  :)
• snuggle with his stuffed animals (holds the animal up to his face and closes his eyes)
• read books with Mommy and Daddy
• sit up by himself in his crib
• dance to any music
• splash in the bath tub
• sit in the grass and pick it
• hold his bottles by himself
• sleep on his side
• smile and make others smile/laugh (he now has 4 teeth - 3 on the bottom and 1 on the top)
• LOVES to flirt and look at the ladies ;)
• pet Bailey
• go shopping!
• sleep through the whole night

6 Months Old

We have a 6 month old!!

Raylan is the sweetest little boy ever! These past 6 months have flown by! I can't believe it!! 

Some fun updates of being a 6 month old:

• He loved to grab anything in arm lengths reach...hair, earrings, toys, Bailey...anything :) 
• He is trying so hard to sit up - just tips forward sometimes
• He has tried baby food (carrots, peas, bananas, apple sauce) and doesn't like any of them! He makes such funny faces and ends up gagging himself! He them pinches his lips together so nothing can get through - silly boy! So we will stick with rice cereal for a little bit longer...
• He LOVES to jump! While being held or in the doorway jumper - he wants to move!
• He likes going in the stroller and going for walks (with Bailey or at MOA)
• He really enjoys bath time - so much that he pees every time :)

Baby Food Time!

Sweet Baby Ray Update:

Our little squirt tried carrots Sunday night for the first time! He wasn't quite sure what to think of the taste at first and made some really funny faces! He did eat most of it though! Such a big boy!

Raylan's two bottom teeth are finally poking through the gums! They are so cute!! Along with the teeth he also has his first cold :( It started on Friday. Poor little man keeps sneezing, has a stuffy nose, and coughs every once in awhile. Even though he has a cold, he is still smiling all the time and rolling all over on the floor! He doesn't like to stay in one place anymore! 

5 Months Old!

Raylan is getting to be such a big boy! I can't believe he is already 5 months old! This little squirt brightens our day with his big smiles and giggles! What did we ever do without this peanut?!

The big 5 month old can now:

• say 'dada'
• hold his bottle (baba) by himself
• put his nook in his mouth by himself
• jump up and down in the doorway jumper
• stand (with help) in the ExerSaucer
• sleep in his crib & hang out in there when he wakes up
• grab anything close and put it in his mouth
• eat rice cereal! (started 2/14 - made such funny faces!)
• completely turn himself around when laying on the floor

Raylan & Mommy Day

Raylan and I had a fun day at home yesterday. I absolutely love spending time with this little man! I cannot get enough of him!! We made cookies, played in the doorway jumper, worked on rolling over, sat in the Bumbo seat, and snuggled (my favorite!). He was such a good boy and smiled the whole day! Raylan even sat in his high chair for the first time and loved to play with his toys on the tray. Can't believe we will be starting cereal soon! He even has the start of a little tooth coming in on the bottom!! Our little man is getting too big already! Here are some pictures from our day.

4 Months Old

Our little boy is 4 months old today! We are so lucky to have such a happy boy!!

Raylan loves to:

• Smile
• Laugh and giggle
• Make funny faces - especially his scowling face
• Stand up (whether someone is holding him, in a jumper, or ExerSaucer)
• Grab and hold toys
• Bite and suck on whatever he can get in his mouth
• Drool
• Pop his nook in and out of his mouth all by himself
• Talk!! (and make funny sounds using his tongue!)
• Be scared!!
• Snuggle with his Sophie the giraffe
• Listen to music
• Have tummy time
• Sleep/relax in his crib (getting better each day!)
• Have warm baths
• Get his hair brushed by Daddy ;)
• Play peek-a-boo or where is Raylan?
• Roll over (rolled over for the first time 1/11/14)
• Make raspberry noses
• Watch TV
• Keep an eye on his big sis, Bailey 
• Be naked!
